It was 39th match of the Tata IPL 2022 between RCB and RR. RR won by this game by 29 runs. RCB faced another loss after falling on only 68 in previous match. Virat Kohli opened the innings alongside Faf du Plessis. Stats suggested that Virat had been explosive while opening , as he has 18 fifties and five centuries while batting at the opening spot in the team. But he was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna in the second over as his poor form continued. Rajasthan Royals now reached the first spot on the points table. Riyan Parag scored his second IPL fifty. He got a chance to display his skills, and did an outstanding job leading his team to a respectable score.

Another incident that remained the talking point of the match was the tempers flaring between Harshal Patel and Riyan Parag. The two players exchanged some serious words at the end of RR’s innings when Parag finished off with a six. The two were seen having a go at each other before the members from both sides separated them. 

Irrespective of what happens during the match, the players of the two teams tend to shake hands at the end of the match. However, the scenes after the game between RCB and RR were not great as Harshal Patel didn’t shake hands with Riyan Parag. Harshal refused to do so and just walked past him.
